We're in the capital city of Phnom Penh. Today we took in the tour of the local killing fields and the infamous S-21 prison, where tens of thousands of Cambodians had their last moments in the mid to late '70s. It was hot and depressing, but worth it. And, as always with these sorts of things, leaves you wondering "why?"

We read somewhere about how a smart traveller would get up really early in the morning and do the trip from Bangkok to Siem Riep, Cambodia in one day. Yeah right. Get up early. Not a chance!

We really love Thailand so far. We haven't left Bangkok yet but that's okay because it is a huge city with a ton of things to do. We where planning on travelling out to Myanmar for a while then come back into Thailand through Chaing Mai. But after a very lengthy and unsuccessful visit to the Myanmar Embassy our plans have changed. That Embassy was a joke.
