It begins...

The new room

Yes, we're still in Hawaii! : 23 October 2003

We've moved out of the mad house and into a hotel.... Today is the first day in our hotel, we're in waikiki at the Princess Kaiulani, we have a lovely view of the parking lot...an obvious sign of our budget. I miss the kids already, although it was nice to actually sleep in a little. Andrea Marie is so much fun, she has no fear..we took her to Kailua where she was flopping around in the waves with only her water wings....she loves to float with her eyes closed, she's very relaxed. Her favorite words are "anti"...."unkel"...we like that. Graeme, well, he screams and cries ALOT...but is so sweet and beautiful, I think he's going to skip the whole crawling thing and just move on to walking..we'll see. As for Robin and I...thing are great..we're heading out to the North Shore today where we will just hang out on the beach all day. I heard the surf was really big over there right now..maybe we'll break out our boards...ha ha.....I mean our floaties..... Hey travelers! Just caught the site for the first time. Very cool! I read the posts to Teresa, and she said to say hi. So..."HI". We're envious, especially when you mentioned Kailua, (my home for a couple of years) Beautiful yes? A great vantage point for Lanikai and the Mokulua islands is the hill as you come around the bend. There's a path that goes up the ridge to the top where you'll find the military bunkers and a breath taking view! We were just talking about how when and where to meet up with you. Our timing is pretty good for the latter part of Jan. to mid Feb. Where will you be? I really want to go to Bali and Teresa does too. Just not too far off the beaten track into heavy Muslim areas. Fiji is also on the list (as well as many other so. pacific spots) and I have connects in both places. Borneo too! Do you know your basic itinerary yet? Write when you can and have a blast!
